Age 17 • Wexford
This is a portrait of a women with flowers in her hair and a solitary tear placed upon her face. She has no ears, because as they say, action speaks far louder then words.
What she is wishing for that pains her so much to close her eyes and cry is up to the viewer. But this is a picture depicting the pain of a long awaited wish and the beauty of hope.
The piece was made with charcoal, pencil and oil pastels.
